This beautifully carved piece was found in Maine.  It is most likely a fancy pediment to the top of a grand piece of furniture.  The carving is exquisitely done.  The fine detail shows a variety of fruit over decorative feather and a scrolling fan-like design.  It measures 36" wide by 9-1/2" tall by 1-1/2" thick.  A stunning and decorative piece!
