Composition Doll

This lovely early doll has a hand painted, composition torso, arms, and feet. The rest of her body is stuffed cloth. She has real hair, and is dressed in Victorian style hand-made clothing. She measures approximately 26" tall from head to toe. I have to admit that I know nothing about dolls. But this one just had "a look". If I had to guess at her age I would put her somewhere between the late 18th C. into the early 20th C. Overall she is in fine structural condition with minor, scattered paint losses and crazing that is consistent with age and use.
