Huge Smoke Decorated Cannister

This exceptionally large lidded cannister is vibrantly smoke decorated. It has a tapered lid with reinforced handle, horizontal ribbed cylindrical body with two reinforced handles. Late 19th C. It measures 25" tall by 17" in diameter (21" counting the two side handles). It is in fine condition with minor paint abrasions consistent with age. The lid has more wear, which is typical and proves it to be original. A terrific early smoke decorated piece!
