Dry Goods Twine Dispenser
This is a unique piece, dating from the late 19th to early 20th C. It is a string dispenser that was used in a dry goods store. The ball of string or twine was housed inside with the end of the string coming through a hole in the top. The heart shaped brass and steel cutter would allow a clerk to pull just enough string through and cut it for wrapping up goods. Made of oak or ash with a brass heart with steel cutting blade. A unique piece! Measuring __" tall by __" wide.
